Whether you’re indulging in their renowned Pâtes Aux Champignons or savoring the delicate finesse of their Agnolotti, every bite is a celebration of fresh, vibrant ingredients and expertly balanced seasoning.

One cannot discuss Restaurant Tonino without mentioning some of their signature highlights: Gnocchi Alla Crema delivers a creamy, luxurious mouthfeel that melts effortlessly, while the Spaghetti À la Truffe tantalizes with earthy truffle aromas that linger seductively. The Carpaccio de Bœuf Avec Glace Au Vin Rouge offers a beautifully refined contrast of tender raw beef and deep, nuanced red wine glaze, presenting a truly elegant start to your meal.

For starters, guests rave about the Artichauts À la Juive Pistaches & Stracciatella Di Burrata, a dish that balances crispy textures with luscious creaminess and a hint of nutty pistachios, making it an irresistible opener. Other celebrated entrées include the hearty yet delicate Ravioli d'agneau braisé and the succulent Polpettes & polenta, both crafted to showcase the depth of traditional Italian comfort food elevated with modern finesse.

Tonino’s mains continue to impress with highlights like the Jarret d'agneau en croûte de pistaches & ciboulette, purée de panais, a dish resonating with the perfect marriage of tender lamb and subtly sweet parsnip purée, as well as the decadent Surf & Turf for those seeking a luxurious indulgence. For larger parties or special celebrations, the Côte de boeuf & légumes du jour serves as a generous centerpiece, crafted to be shared and savored.

Dining here is much more than the food alone; it’s the warm, attentive service that elevates each visit. As several guests have noted, the team at Tonino, including the memorable Sicilian waitstaff, ensures a personalized touch that makes every meal special. The ambiance is vibrant yet intimate - an ideal setting for romantic dinners, birthdays, or simply an exceptional night out.

Julia Couture shares, “The food is amazing and the vibe is great,” while C Duk declares it “certainly the best restaurant in Québec” — a consensus echoed by many who appreciate the authenticity and generous portions that define Tonino’s appeal. A visiter et revisiter! Certainement Le meilleur restaurant de Québec! Update. This is still my favorite Italian restaurant in Quebec!!! The size of the entrée are big enough for two. I took the roquette salad and the carpaccio and it was delicious! Looking for a real typical Italian restaurant, this is it! I've been in Italy a couple of time and i do believe this is the most representative Italian Piemonte style in Quebec! I had the gnocchi a la creme and Mimosa eggs!

Best Italian restaurant in Quebec. A little gem that only locals know about. The food is amazing and the portions are gigantic. One pasta dish is more than enough for two people. Service is amazing and the overall mood was cozy and private. Make sure to have a reservation.

I’ve been to this restaurant several times, and it remains, without a doubt, the best Italian food I’ve had in Quebec City. The menu is on the smaller side, which might not cater to picky eaters—but I can’t stress this enough: if you’re willing to step outside your comfort zone, you’ll be richly rewarded. The flavors are bold, authentic, and incredibly satisfying. The atmosphere is equally impressive—it’s a cozy, intimate spot with a warm, welcoming vibe that makes every visit feel special. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates genuine Italian cuisine in a relaxed and friendly setting.

I had a beautiful supper there with my daughter. The first rate service with an excellent meal. We started off with refreshing Bellini Gelato, Prosecco, Gelato. We had grilled bread and Arancini del giorno which was delicious. I had the Gnocchi sauce gorgonzola flambés dans la meule & Short Rib. Heaven. My daughter had Pappardelle Bolognese with some adjustments. The service was impeccable on this busy evening. The place was cozy and lively with Benito crooning some Italian sernades.

The food and drinks were devine we had as appetizer the carpacio of beef and main course the mushrooms fusilloni with hazelnut and burrata and they were delicous! The service was also amazing super attentive and very helpful. It cost us 160$ for two, with 2 appetizer, 3 dri ks, one share main course and one desert!! Will definitely go back when I am in Quebec city.

Everything was absolutely outstanding and delicious! The only minus I would say is the sound of the speakers for the table in the corner at the back was a tad too loud. Otherwise it was perfect. Excellent service too!

I am so glad we decided to go to Restaurant Tonino. The food was incredible, as well as the service. We had Jennie has our server, and every dish that she recommended was delicious. She was also lovely and made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was very inviting and cosy. We will 100% be back to visit on our next trip to Quebec.
